The XPM5016 is a synchronous buck converter with integrated switching tube, providing a complete solution for power supply equipment such as car chargers, adapters, and smart plugins.
    The XPM5016 has a built-in power MOS that supports a wide input voltage range of 8V to 30V. The output voltage is adjustable from 1.8V to 20V, providing a maximum output current of 3.4A.
    The output of the XPM5016 has constant voltage and constant current characteristics. When the output current is less than the limit value, it is in constant voltage mode; When the output current reaches the limit value, it is in constant current mode. The output line complement size is configured by the external COMP pin. The output voltage increases with the increase of the output current to compensate for the voltage drop caused by the internal resistance of the charging cable.
    The XPM5016 integrates patented XPD-LINK™ interconnect communication technology. With the XPD-LINK™ Interconnect function, the XPM5016 can be connected to a chip that supports this technology to transmit power information. This function can also indicate the load current output status.
    The XPM5016 has a very high reliability with input voltage tolerance up to 36V. At the same time, it has a variety of protection functions: input overvoltage and undervoltage protection, output overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, short-circuit burp protection, etc.
